Later in March, the University of Strasbourg is having an open day. It's inconveniently between my two holidays; however, it IS on a weekend.
Oh yeah: the University of Strasbourg has an Institute for Translators, Interpreters and International Relations (ITI-RI). This institute offers a 2-year Master's degree in interpreting. It's my (based on semi-decent internet research) best bet for getting some sort of interpreting degree/diploma in (non-Paris) France; second bet for a Francophone(ish) country is the University of Geneva, but we'll see what I think of the city in April.
Now I just have to find a reasonably-priced way to get there...
FYI: Strasbourg is awkwardly on the opposite side of France, and more North.
But hey, it's better than opposite side of the world, yeah?
